I have been to Andrei’s Conscious Cuisine a few times and every time has been an extraordinary experience. When you arrive at this restaurant you are first not certain it is a restaurant because it is located inside an Irvine business center. They offer complimentary valet service which already is a thumbs up in my opinion! Next when you walk into the establishment you are caught off guard as your eyes are amazed with beautiful large indoor waterfall.
The restaurant is located on the second floor. The ambiance of the eatery is comfortable, modern, and quite peaceful. Once we arrived the host greeted us warmly and asked if we would like to first sit in the lounge and enjoy a cocktail since we had made it in for happy hour.
So we sat down in the lounge where we ordered a drink. I ordered the Chilean Spice Martini which had a nice little kick and tasted great. My husband ordered the Blackberry Cooler which was sweet but the right amount that you didn’t feel it was too overpowering. We decided to order an appetizer while we were having a drink.
Starving Foodie Appetizers Recommendations:
Kurubota Pork Short Rib
Harissa-Spice Rubbed Berkshire Kurubota Pork Short Rib, Served with Caramelized Cantaloupe Chutney & Lemon Mint Yogurt
Oven-Dried Tomato, Humboldt Fog Goat Cheese & Basil Grilled on Brioche Bread with a Parmesan Cheese Crust, Served with Mediterranean Olive Tapenade
Beef Short Rib
The Kurubota Pork Short Rib was tender juicy and flavorful. The spices it was rubbed in had a slight Indian flavoring and edge. The Grilled Tomato and Cheese bites were crispy with a nice tarte flavor that made you want to never stop eating them. Now these were small portions but I felt they were just the right amount to awaken the palate for your main course.
After we had thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers we moved to the main dining room where we sat in a nice cushy booth. The wait staff was extremely pleasant and were attentive to us which is a huge quality I look for anywhere I eat. Our waiter suggested the Beef Short Rib, the Mahi Mahi, or the Andrei’s cheeseburger. I decided to order the Beef Short Rib and my husband went with the Andrei’s cheeseburger.
For the record I am a big beef eater and am extremely picky when I order short ribs. That is an item that is to be slow cooked and should have the right amount of spices. Andrei’s does not disappoint when it comes to the short ribs. They were exactly the way I dream a short rib should taste. Soft, tender, juicy, delicious, should I go on? Definitely a must try if you go here. The Andrei’s cheeseburger was good but I wouldn’t particularly recommend that as a dish to order your first time. It’s basically like any decent cheeseburger you could have anywhere. Although, it is very tasty I dont consider it worth the money they charge for it. Their highlight dishes would be the following. I have tasted all of them and adore them equally!
Any of these dishes will leave you with a nice wide grin and full and satisfied tummy. Try Andrei’s Conscious Cuisine and let me know what you think. Comment below with your reviews! Happy Eating!
Oh and by the way they will be at OC Restaurant Week with a great menu at just $30.00 per person…
